VW Hatfield Northcliff Mastercar*****r Service
I am so disappointed at VW Hatfield Northcliff Mastercars.I am a first time vehicle buyer and had made a decision to purchase my first car at a trusted dealership as a female with no knowledge of cars and believed that I would be guided well in the capable hands of VW Hatfield hence I didn't go next door to purchase a car because I didn't want to face any issues.
On the 5th of October 2017, I signed a contract with VW Hatfield Northcliff for a pre-owned Renault Clio 2016 model that had travelled 27 000km.The car was delivered on the 7th of October and there were still tests to be done on the car then car was collected by the consultant first week of November for final touch-ups and I alerted the consultant to also check if the car needed to be serviced and the feedback I got from the consultant was that I shouldn't have to worry as I needed to accumulate 15000km over and that besides the car will alert me should service be required.
Indeed so, the car alerted me on the 31st of May to say that service is due in 1500km, had travelled home that weekend from Jo'burg to Bethlehem as it was around Easter then informed the consultant and he said I can still drive back then book the car at my nearest Renault dealership of which I did as soon as there was a lighting on the car saying service is required.
I booked the car for service on the 28th of April 2018 with Renault The Glen Dealership and they told me that I needed to pay for the service as I had gone 6000km over and that I was supposed to have serviced the car in December 2017 as stipulated on the system. So on the day my car was on 36035km, then they said am gonna have to pay 3800 of which I refused to pay I informed the consultant, he told me about the settings on the car etc. But told him it's not my problem VW Hatfield Northcliff needs to sort it out. Also chatted with the manager of Mastercars,he politely said I should get a quote then will sort it but later said he's not paying for anything and not responded to my email after I've forwarded the 30000km quote.Last week on the 12 May, dropped the car off at the dealership, handed over the keys and haven't heard anything from them ever since. What a dissatisfactory service from the number 1 rated dealership on customer service.
Firstly it was an issue of my car disc that expired in December, if my mom had not picked it up when I had gone home in December, we would be talking a different story. Secondly I still don't have my duplicate key, now it's car service issues. What's next??? This has been sheer negligence from the beginning.Never been so dissappointed. Am concerned about my safety as I work far from where I stay and knock off very late but have to use public transportation now because VW Hatfield Northcliff Mastercars is not attending to my issue.
