VW Hatfield Edenvale Poor customer service and mechanics incompetence

Volswagen Hatfield Edenvale is one of the reputable dealership within a respected Volswagen group but I must the service of that dealership is nonsense and disgusting to say the least.

1st scenario - I took my car in for service a while back in 2022, while doing pre inspection I showed them that the vehicles comes with a standard lock nut, when I went to fetch the vehicle later, I realized my locknut key was missing, i raised the matter, with they refused to take responsibility and said I probably left it home. I had to get another one.

2nd scenario - I took my car in this year to replace rear brake pads around July 2023, on collection, it looks liked all was done well. When I was driving to Limpopo following Saturday the whole brake pads caliber housing the brake pad went off scratching my rim even. I called them to assist me and took almost two hours given the fact that i was stuck in the middle of nowhere. When help eventually came they took the car and fixed the car brake pad and Rim which took +-2 weeks. I was afforded a courtesy car my only concern was how did they release car without checking such work was carried properly and what if I was on speed what could have happened to me. This Showed the dealership has *********** personnel in their mechanical department.

3rd Scenario - Around October 2024 I took my car for minor service and asked VW to check a sound on the left that was making noise of which they confirmed to have checked, it was related to the Tyre as the disc and brake pads looked fine in their view.

When I tried to remove the Tyre I noted the locknut key given to me was an old one damaged as well and also the locknuts as well as other bolts were tightened to much which resulted in me going back to VW to assist me remove them. They all failed as well citing the car was at panel beater that could be where the nuts & bolts were tightened of which is wrong as the work done at panel had nothing to do with tyre removals. I informed but they re**** on that argument.

fast forward on the 10th November 2024 I got a rear Tyre puncher resulting in me battling to remove the Tyre as the locknut car given was damaged and 2ndly the lock nut as well as bolts were tightened from work done in July while they were fitting rear brake pads. I was unaware until I had to remove Tyre now so that i can replace it with spare.

To remove the locknuts I had to hire King of threads to remove all of them at a cost of R1460 without any assistance from VW Hatfield Edenvale on the 10th November as I had to remove my car from the place it was parked overnight in Alexandra.

The feedback I received was they wont take responsibility for locknut or tyre complains.

I have bought 4 types of vehicle in my lifetime with VW (Polo Vivo, GOLF 7 Rline TSI, GOLF 7.5 GTI and GOLF 7.5 R (current), in all the lifetime this is the 1st time I got exposed to such disgusting and filthy treatment by a Edenvale dealership mind you I have been servicing and maintaining my vehicles at VW Melrose and VW Northcliff at some point. Both Dealership have never disappointed me like how VW Edenvale operates, its like there is some ******** element coupled with incompetence.

They don't seem to care about concerns raised but rather very quick to say we don't take responsibility for poor workmanship. Its very disappointing and embarrassing to be associated with such a poorly managed dealership that has not regard and respect for its customers concerns.
