VW exploding sunroof
VW sold me a ticking time bomb for a car. Six months after buying a car it sunroof just exploded and shuttered while I was driving. I contacted VW south Africa and they asked me to take the car to VW upington for inspection and 2hrs later they told me warranty won't cover because "something must have hit it, a sunroof cannot just burst". I told the guy of what happened and showed him the picture as they showed that it exploded inside out. He then asked me to email him the pictures and asked one of the technicians to take more pictures since what was lesft of a sunroof still showed the direction of impact, and then he told me he's going to send another email. Two days after they called and told me they decline again so I asked to be forwarded the email as I couldn't understand the reason(s) for declining the lady agreed but the 2nd day I was told via email that they cannot send me any emails but told me that they've told Amanda Fatman (from VW SA) to send me something in writing. Wrote them a message on their webchat to make sure i get the letter. She kept calling and postponing (6 days) to send me that letter so that I know why they declined. When she finally sent it this was di ONLY reason she had "This is usually caused by impact damage / stone chips, similar to windscreen cracks.". This is injustice, especially for a new car and what makes it worst is that the evidence is there showing this thing exploded inside out but they still tell me about a windscreen and cracks. I want them to pay, they put my life and other road users lives at risk that day because when that thing exploded I thought I was shot at or something.
