VW expensive service

We have a VW 1.2TSI 2016 model. In 2019 when the car was on around 80000km the air conditioner gave in and we took it to VW Bellville and was told that it would cost 13000 to fix and replace it.

Today I took the car for its 100000km service and was told that we need to give them permission to only 'open' the gearbox as the bearing is making a noise and would cost over 11000. And the car is out of service and maintenance warranty.

This is the 1st time and last time that we would own a VW because it's expensive to maintain and flimsy. Hello Honda
