VW - BAD BRANDSERVICE

<p>I have a VW Golf 7 1.4 TSI - 122 000km I was driving and it for some reason broke down. It was taken to VW Table View to found out what was wrong with it and to be fixed. The report from the technician: * found misfire on engine * found no compression on cylinder 4 * found cylinder 4 spark plug filled with oil * vehicle engine needs to be stripped or replaced * SEVER INTERNAL ENGINE FAILURE I was told that they can't tell me what caused the Internal Engine Failure but it happens. VW Table View told me that it needed to be stripped and then I would get a proper report, so told them to go ahead. After the they had done that the report was: * found cylinder 4 exhaust valve broken at valve seat * found all four pistons moving excessively inside cylinder bore * cannot repair * cannot rebore or resleeve We were told that a new engine would be needed to be fitted and the cost was R 189 621.59 I was also told that VW won't repair and that they rather replace After talking to other places and some research, I was told by other places that I can go ahead and even purchase a older engine at a cheaper price or actually it can be replaced. I was also told that this is a common problem. We received a call from VW Table View saying that they can't source a older engine and they can repair the engine at a cost of R 68 000.00 They said that the engine is unrepairable and then they say that the engine can be repaired. It makes no sense I contacted VW South Africa and spoke to a agent and was told that she would get hold of the dealership and come back to me. After a few days, we received a call from the dealership saying that there will be no good will from VW South Africa regarding the matter. I then contacted them and was told by the agent that the matter was discussed with the powers that be and they are saying that because the engine is not within the 120 000km, they will not do anything regarding the matter. Since then nothing else received from VW South Africa How is it that there is sudden and severe internal engine failure and VW South Africa don't give a ****. How is it that other garages are aware of the problem and VW South Africa don't give a ****. Is this how VW treat clients/customers. Now that I know what I had to deal with. I am never going to buy a VW again and sure as hell going to make sure that if I am ever asked by any of my friends and family for my opinion and recommendations regarding purchasing of a VW , that they don't and it would be a huge mistake to by VW.</p>
