vw arcadia needs legal action
My name is Collins Phaladi an owner and driver of a Golf 6 GTI by registration number CF 74 PV GP which has now been in vw arcading for 1 month and 3 weeks and it has become a ******* bin of theirs. On the 26th of September I called vw arcadia manager I called vw arcadia workshop to check if my vehicle is ready as it has long time been there, and the response from the service manager was yes your car is ready u can come collect. then I drove to pretoria from limpopo very early in the morning and to my surprise when I got there, I just saw from a distance that my car is not ready as I just saw the car been very dirty and windows not closed. when I got to the car I found the back passenger seats still dismounted from the car, flat rear tyre and I tried to run the engine but there was no power at all. so basically my car is not ready for collection. I went inside to look for the service manager whom was not in for that day then I had to call him on his cell phone. And I ask him! How can you make me drive 300km to pretoria and find my car not being ready? And he said those are minor things they can do it quickly but your battery is dead also he said.
I just went to the car very angry and drove back to limpopo as I had other commitments on that day. Then Last week Wednesday I called the very same service manager again to check if they finished my car and he again said yes. Friday midday I drove to pretoria and got to the work shop and find my car still in the same condition, windows not closed, flat tyre and no battery still. And this time around even the gear lever was dismounted. At least I remembered to take pictures this time. But as usual the service manager was not there and I have to turn myself into a mad man in order to be heard. I had to make noise all over the place. Then suddenly they come with a new battery and fit it in. Now they said you need to pay R1700 for on your car for fixing and pay 1500 for a scratch on own courtesy car with we borrowed you. I paid for all those but I was never given quotation of all those things. Well I paid and demanded my car as I was done. They have lost my car key and they cannot find them, I stay in that workshop until 7 in the afternoon looking for the keys. So James the white service advisor organised a car for me so that I can go back to limpopo again. And said they will try look for the key. It's now 15:00 midday Monday. Nobody has contacted me or update me on anything. I have spent more than R 3000 coming to pretoria twice from limpopo and not getting my car which has a month and a half being there.
So I decided to take this matter legally as I am being treated like an idiot. As I even called the dealership principal Stephan only to find he is as useless as them
