VW Arcadia

So this is a long story. Here it goes:

I bought my car on the 13th of November 2013 from VW Arcadia and the transaction was handled by Johan....

The transaction was cool and everything was fine.

After about a year of using the car, a sqweaky sound started coming from the ignition whenever I start my car, I took the car back to Arcadia to have a look at it and they indicated that its not a big issue and I shouldn't worry about it. Me being a trusting individual, I took their word for it and left the issue.

1.5 years later, I took the car back to VW Arcadia with the same issue and they told me that this is a warranty issue and they wont fix it because I am out of warranty. This was when I realised that there was something really wrong.

I called VW SA explaining the issue to them firstly starting with the warranty issue as it am supposed to be still within the warranty period. VW SA indicated that I should get proof of my purchase agreement and I provided the necessary documentation, which was sorted out as apparently it was a "capturing issue"

The second issue I explained to them was the noise coming from the ignition and the fact that I told VW Arcadia about it a few months ago and they said it aint an issue.

VW SA handled the issue for me perfectly and followed up with VW Arcadia on my behalf. About a week later, VW Arcadia gave me a call indicating that i should bring my car in so they can fix the issue (that was Novemeber 2016). I took my car in and they told me that VW Polo's and VW Polo Vivo's have this problem and that I shouldn't worry about it. They said that they didn't replace anything as everything was fine ( Please Note: my car was still within warranty)

Today (27 Jan 2017), I took my car in for a service at VW Arcadia :) and explained the issue to the technicial who's name is Mr Soku Peter, he was honest with me and told me that the noise is caused by my starter and it needs to be replaced at a cost of +-R10 000. I must pay that amount :).

Here is the issue: VW Arcadia was supposed to replace my starter a long time ago under my warranty as this issue started 1 year after buying my car, but they waited until I was out of warranty so that they can make money from me
