VW alert roadside assistance

I need to inform you of my experience from "VW alert"

On 7/06/2023 after contacting VW alert, someone from Lindsay Saker, Alberton was sent out to assist as my car would not start. Someone came out within 30 minutes which I appreciate BUT the cost was quoted as R1350.

Lindsay Saker is about 5km away from the position where my car was. The person, a black guy, came out and took a battery from his van and jump started the car.

He demanded cash, and after going to my home for cash, 1km away, he said R1000 would suffice. What I paid without a receipt.

I think it is ridiculous to charge that price and I would be very reluctant to use the VW alert again. I am driving a 2003 Golf 2000.
