Volkswagen T6 Transporter head lights

I own a 2016 Volkswagen T6 Transporter Crew-bus. It is fitted with standard halogen head lights. Since the purchase I was disappointed with the intensity of the head lights. It is so bad that when I drive at night I have to drastically reduce my speeds to feel safe. Sometimes I have to switch off the lights to make sure that it is actually on. I also own a Toyota Hilux using the same bulb and the quality of light compared to the VW is like day and night.

Volkswagen (Nelspruit) compared the lights with another VW T6 and found that it was similar but admitted that it was much worse than the Toyota's. When we compared it against the Amarok fitted with Xenon light they stated that it should not be compared with the T6 because the Amarok has very good light. They basically admitted that the T6 have bad lights.

I also tested the Volts at the light bulbs and found that there is a voltage drop to 10.8 Volts on the T6. The SABS standard is 13.2 Volts. This is almost 20% lower than the accepted standard.

Volkswagen rejected my claim and said that the lights are similar than the other T6 bus compared with.

In my view the VW T6 vehicles that are fitted with standard head lights all have the same head light problems and Volkswagen does not want to even test the vehicles for compliance.
