VOLKSWAGEN SOUTH AFRICA IS THE WORST

In 2018 I bought a brand new polo tsi 1.2 2018 model at VW MENLYN, I had the car for a couple of weeks when it decided not to start one morning. I took the car to my nearest VW banch which is VW LENASIA. they had the car for a day and contacted me to come pick it up as it is now fixed I cant remember what they said what the problem was. Fine enough I fetched the car and a couple of days later it did the same thing again, I then decided to call the dealership where I bought the vehicle which was VW MENLYN I told them what the problem was and that I no longer want this vehicle as its a new vehicle and its not supposed to be doing this, they advised that I should give them a chance to fix it and I told them that I already gave VW a chance to fix it but they couldn't fix it. The guys from VW MENLYN then distanced themselves from VW LENASIA and said that although VW is a brand I cant tell them that I gave MENLYN a chance to fix it as they are different branches. They then said ok its fine can i just bring the car in so they can see what's the problem before I can make a final decision on whether or not I still want this vehicle. A week goes by and they called me to advise that I can come fetch my vehicle its now fixed, so I said hold on what was wrong and they said to me it was a wiring harness fault. I told them i dont want the vehicle anymore as this was not supposed to happen and what if it does not start again in future. This fight went on for weeks bearing in mind that my debit orders are still being deducted, they then said to me ok we will give you a new car, when I got to the MENLYN dealership they had worked out a deal where they added about 80000Rand of the shortfall onto the new vehicle that they offering me, I was left with a decision where I take this new vehicle with the shortfall added onto the price or payoff the shortfall for a vehicle that I dont have anymore. With no choice I had to take that car with an extra R80000 added onto the price which I now regret as im retrenched and I cant even afford to settle this car as the settlement costs more or less the same as what the very same vehicle is worth right now brand new 2years later.

Now this all happened in 2018. This week on the 9th of December 2020 Volkswagen Lenasia just reminded me again how bad their service is as a brand and a dealership. First mistake I dropped my car off for a service and had to walk back home 15km because they had no drivers(and I had to walk another 15km to pick it up). My car was due for a service so the engine light and EPC light was also on when I dropped the car off. Later that day the service advisor called me at around 4pm to tell me that they need more time with car as the EPC light problem is related to a wiring issue with no explanation about the engine light being on. I went to pick the car up at the dealership and I was told to bring the car back mid January 2021 as they short staffed and they wont be able to assist me now with this problem. The service advisor then said I dont have to worry I can drive the car as is with those lights on and nothing will happen. So this just goes to show Volkswagen has bad service no matter which dealership you go to they just dont care each dealership can do as they please and Volkswagen south africa takes no responsibility they just distance themselves from whichever dealership you dealing with.

VOLKSWAGEN SOUTH AFRICA IS THE WORST BRAND TO BUY A VEHICLE FROM THEY WILL CHEAT YOU INTO DEALS THAT BENEFITS THEM EVEN THOUGH THEIR PRODUCT IS FAULTY...THEY MAKE A PROFIT OF YOU REGARDLESS
