I purchased a VW T-Cross towards the end of 2019. From the outset there was a s****ing noise, which Tavcor George imp**** I was imagining. This noise miraculously disappeared after they had it on the hoist and "couldn't find anything wrong." This past Saturday, 27 February, I went to buy a newspaper, and then the vehicle refused to start, which was problematic as I had my wife and two dogs who couldn't wait in a hot car until assistance came. The positive side to this experience was the swift assistance of Volkswagen Assist. The gentleman couldn't find anything wrong and got the vehicle to start. What annoyed me was that he questioned my competence to operate the vehicle after I have driven motor vehicles for fifty eight years. This isn't the first VW I have owned that has had the same problem. I have absolutely no confidence in the vehicle and would not recommend purchasing a T-Cross to anybody, or in fact, for that matter, a Volkswagen. Unfortunately I am a pensioner and bought this vehicle to have a reliable vehicle for the next couple of years. If I could buy another make, I would do so but I simply cannot afford to do so.
