Volkswagen Lies about service and quality
We bought our Amarok 2.0 TDI Fourmotion, Double Cab in August 2014 from Volkswagen Lydenburg. The dealer principal, Charles, assured us this was his Demo and he will take care of us in the future for service delivery. In October 2014 we noticed that the paint is coming of on the front right bumper. We immediately took the car back to Charles and he assured us the car was not in a accident while he had it and that it was a factory fault. He took pictures and said he will sort it out immediately. From October till May 2015, after numerous calls to him and he just did not organise anything, we phone Volkswagen East Rand Mall and spoke to Leigh and she organised with Matthew that the car gets repaired. We were told to bring in the car on the 22 May 2015 and that it will go in the Monday morning. The problem was that we had a buyer for a Amarok for R430000-00 that was our settlement figure in beginning May. The buyer was however not happy about the paint defect and wanted atleast a letter from Volkswagen to confirm that it was under warranty.
