Volkswagen Clutch Scandal

I would like to express my dissatisfaction and anger due to my experience with VW. I have bought brand new VW Polo in 2015 and had numerous issues, first issue: Incorrect Coolant in my car which affected my engine, No car available for 3 weeks due to this
Then Friday evening on my way home, around 1am. My clutch gives in and i can’t get any gears on my car and I am stuck sole alone on the m5 waiting for VW roadside assistance. Whilst that might have been the scariest moments of my life, I am more disappointed – this is a BRAND new car, less than 30 000km on it and my car breaks down without a warning light showing, my life was put into danger!!!! Yet no one at VW cares... all I requested was a courtesy car to alleviate the inconvenience of not having a car, but apparently my warranty, monitor and service I pay for every month doest guarantee me getting a courtesy car! So excuse me for throwing my toys out the cot, but I am expected to pay a monthly instalment for a car that doesn’t guarantee me safety!

Strange thing is the three corner stone of the VW business is quality (clearly not apparent in my case), Safety (again – imagine I lost my control of my car? Or someone hijacked me when I was stuck at 2am on a highway all on my own) and lastly customer service?? Tuesday morning I get a call from the Service Manager, Mr Mark from VW Claremont to feedback to me about my car, apparently my clutch burnt out- and this is due to the way I drive, so my warranty, motor or service plan cannot cover it. Can someone at VW please explain to me the how a conclusion like this can be made without fact?

1. Mr Mark (Service MANAGER), nor any one of his employees has ever driven with me

2. When I purchased this VW, it did not come with an instruction manual on how to drive your car

3. I have my driver’s licence for almost nine years, VALID south African drivers licence and according to Mr Mark I don’t drive properly

4. This is my THIRD car, two of which has been VW and I have never had this issue, Mr Mark is you trying to insinuate that my driving ways has changed when I purchased this new car?

The funny thing about this entire situation is that this exact same thing happened to my colleague, she bought a brand new Tiguan, 2weeks later the clutch burns out and apparently it’s because she doesn’t drive properly, then going through some Hello Peter comments- this seems to be popular excuse VW uses- why are they trying to ******* loyal customers, I am flabbergasted that they allow this to happen – again when Quality and customer service are your pillar stones of your business. Unless they have a hidden camera in my car, to prove I don’t drive properly. I refuse to pay for this car to be fixed!!

They leave me no choice to file a complaint with the consumer protection act; I should demand a new car actually! How do I know for sure then when I get my car back it will be safe, or must I first make a devastating accident before VW realise that they a bunch of ******, that takes advantage of people who does not know about cars... IF YOU intend on buying a VW be careful, it’s not the dream they sell you
