Volkswagen A Disappointment

In 2023 I purchased my first vehicle a Polo Vivo 1.4 trendline manual, this was a brand new vehicle from VW Braamfontein Hatfield in Johannesburg. The second month of having this vehicle I experienced challenges with gear 1 and when the car had been standing for long in traffic the car would have a smell as though something was burning. After experiencing this I took the vehicle to the Lindsay Saker Midrand VW branch, and their feedback was that they've adjusted the gear and with the smell they don't know what could have caused it. This gear issue is on going, I take in the car for the same issue ever three months and the same feedback is provided and am just tired of it. I contacted the Lindsay Saker Midrand VW branch again on the 8th August 2024 to book my car in again for the same problem but I was taken from pillar to post with no positive outcome. I am sitting with the same problem to this day. Growing up we were always advised to buy German cars as they were perceived as good cars. It is evident that Volkswagens standards have dropped they are not good quality at all.

I am so disappointed by their vehicle and their services and would NOT refer anyone to them.
