Very bad experience at Volkswagen Hatfield!!!

On the 13th of May my wife had a battery failure on our golf 7 tdi bluemotion. That morning she had no problem to start the car on her way to the grocery store. Suddenly on her way back from the grocery store she had a problem to start the car. On the screen appeared a warning which said battery low! We arranged for jumper cables just get our car safely to our home. I immediately phoned Volkswagen Hatfield, our dealership to find out when the battery's warranty is expiring. With my luck Ryno from Hatfield informed me that the expiry on the battery is 2016/05/14. I also spoke to Vincent that is in charge of warranties at Volkswagen Hatfield. We immediately arranged a job card where a new battery will be replaced under warranty.

I live in Piet Retief and had to take off the weekend to go to Pretoria for battery replacement. I met Brandon when I checked in my car and explained the whole story to him. I clearly explained to him that I need to have my car back by the Sa****ay afternoon in order for me to go back to Piet Retief on Sunday. He told me there is no problem and that he will phone me the Sa****ay morning to arrange a time to collect our car with a replaced battery. At 12h00 the Sa****ay afternoon I realised that no one has phoned me yet from Volkswagen to confirm pick-up. I called the dealership and was sent through to Paul where he said that the battery was faulty and a new battery had to be ordered and installed on Monday morning. I was really upset seeing that I had to put in another days leave in for Monday.

We arranged that I can pick up my car 13h00 on Monday. When I arrived at Volkswagen I went to Ryno to collect my car. With great disappointment Ryno asked me with quite an attitude what is actually the problem with the battery. According to him they only had to charge the battery. I was so shocked by his response after I was told on the Sa****ay that the battery is faulty and had to be replaced on the Monday morning. I told Ryno that it is unacceptable receiving false information on Sa****ay and was actually unnecessary to take another day's leave as they actually only charged the battery at the end on the day.

Seeing that they diagnosed the battery as faulty I am truly afraid for when my wife drives alone and the battery dies again. It is just unacceptable to lie to a customer about the situation and question a customer about the problem. I am also very disappointed about the means in which I was handled by Ryno.

Very bad experience at Volkswagen Hatfield. This situation won't be left unheard. I would like to get response ASAP!!!!
