********* Business Practice

I went into Fourways VW to look at purchasing an UP. It was subject to trading in my Audi A3 Convertible which is less than a year old. I went into the dealership and had an evaluation done by Audi on the A3. I was given a price of R400k if I only traded in the car and not purchased the new one. I went in the next day to ask what documentation Audi needed to purchase back the car. I had already provided the Natis document as well as the settlement letter from Westbank. I made an appointment. Gary at VW took me through to Audi to meet with Grant. He said he had to evaluate the car again. The previous evaluation was done by one of his employees. Grant came back and said.. there is a dent on the car and we will now only give you R390k. This dent was there at the previous evaluation which Gary was a witness too. Grant was not interested and apologised. He checked the system but the previous evaluator had not noted the dent. Even though I had Gary as well as myself confirming the dent was there previously, Grant did not believe us and now renaged on the previous offer. This is unacceptable. As it stands, I got an offer of R410k from another VW dealership. Audi should stick to the offer they made. If the evaluator did not make a note it should not be the clients fault. Grant made no attempt at calling the evaluator to confirm our story. This interaction has left me with a very bad impression of Audi the brand, being represented by such ********* staff.

Reviewer Update

Still no answer from VW/Audi. I guess that says it all!!! why subscribe as a company to this service when you have no intention of answering any of the reviews?
