There is a huge problem with the clutch for the VW Polo TSI

The car itself is fine, everything is normal, but I kept hearing people complaining about the clutch/gears being faulty all the time. My friend had to get his new Polo towed to the nearest dealership after a few months of driving it. A few weeks later I had the same issue, my car couldn't select a gear and had to get it towed. I've only had the car for less than 11 months!!!! And I don't know if this is related but my hand brake also wasn't working properly because my car would roll while the hand brake is up. It's a shame that VW ruined the experience of a nice car with this kind of problem, the clutch shouldn't fail within 60 000 km of driving.
