STAY AWAY FROM #Bidvest McCarthy Volkswagen -

We took our #VW transporter bi-turbo (same as a #Amarok) for its 45000km service plan service to @Bidvest McCarthy Volkswagen. I asked for them to check the noise coming from the rear shocks, fix the passenger reclining seat and check the air filter (VW only replaces the air filter at 60000km- shocking!!!). They had the car for two days. When I collected the vehicle, they had only washed the outside. I was told by the dealer principal himself that all other checks I requested were done. But they actually did nothing. I had to leave the car there another day so they could diagnose the suspension failure (the shocks would have to be replaced under warranty) and clean the filter. So when I collected on the third day after I had to cycle to work and back as I didn’t have a vehicle, we discovered they actually didn’t even service the vehicle AT ALL. The oil and filter wasn’t even changed!!!!!! See attached picture of my log book that was stamped, they even claimed the service plan costs back from @VWSA and then quickly reversed them once we caught them red-handed. The dealer principal and service manager weren’t in one bit phased. NOT EVEN AN APPOLOGY. In order to see if they had actually ever serviced the vehicle, as it has only ever been serviced with them, we took an oil sample for analysis. The results were shocking- attached- 7% diesel contamination!!!!. We requested their contamination specifications which they refused to assist with and told us to take it up with #VWSA. The VWSA call centre wasn’t at all helpful and insisted we revert to the oil testing specialists as they do not consider themselves specialists in this field. To establish the severity of the issue we were instructed to do another oil test in 5000/6000km after we made the dealer change the oil in front of us. The 5000km test was even worse than the initial one !!! attached. We complained to @VWSA of this issue, and they sent us a letter stating they will have nothing to do with it and they we need to take it up with the dealer- SHOCKING. We sent the vehicle back to the dealer. The kept it for 3 days for them to perform a 12 min compression test- ONLY !!!! No one even bothered to call us with an update or anything!!! The compression was ok but no other fuel system checks were done as per the recommendation in the report from the specialists. And now contrary the reports, #VWSA and #Bidvest McCarthy Volkswagen say there is nothing wrong the vehicle. This contradicts everything they asked us to do. How is it that they told us they not oil analysis specialists, referred us to a company that they recommend and even requested we do a compression test, and when the results are unfavourable, they say there is nothing wrong with the vehicle??????? The oils viscosity is so poor now because if the diesel contamination that it does not meet the oil requirements specified for this engine. So basically VW has no problem for us to drive the vehicle in its current state contrary to the report with the poor viscosity oil which WILL cause premature engine wear. I suppose this is how they sell more cars??? We have had no choice but to involve and attorney now. In this day and age, with such a big dealership being involved, and a big brand like VW, I am appalled at how this is being handled. The dealership, VWSA and even @Bidvest are not in one bit interested. Not only did the dealer commit blatant *****, our vehicle has a server issue of which they have no interest in resolving. NOT EVEN AN APPOLOGY. How many other innocent people out there took their vehicle for a service, and dealer only washed it. Im just lucky I pulled my oil dipstick when I collect my car. It’s not something you usually do. PLEASE SHARE
