Send my car for service, get it back broken
I sent my car for a service on Monday, 26 January 2015, only to be told that my cam belt needed to be replaced at 90000 kms which the lady told me when booking only needed to be changed at 120 000kms.

I then get quotes from friends finding them to be R1000 cheaper, I ASSUME however that as VW is the manufacturer they will do a better job and proceed to let them fix the cam belt.

The following day I receive the car only to switch on the lights, and a light on the instrument cluster illuminating, indicating that the lights are faulty (I got out the car only to notice that all the lights are in perfect working order) I the take the car back AGAIN, to be told that there is no problem and they uploaded the new software which should solve the problem.

The following day (being today) I realise that my car no longer beeps when it is locked or unlocked, the light indicating faulty lights is STILL on and my doors don't automatically lock anymore.

Therefore I send my car for a mere service, end up paying R11 000, get a car back with faulty lights and half the car I had back before.

I will ensure everyone who I know that wants to buy a VW knows about this service
