sells damaged cars

On February 2016 we bought we bought a second hand Mini Cooper clubman 2009 account number ********** 9687 from VW Market Square under the Kelston group with the assistance of Phumelelo Pezo Qeqe (Sale Rep), three weeks with the car it indicated a fault on the dash board, we then called WV market square to report this and they took the car in at BMW to have it checked, the car was diagnosed and BMW sent the reports to WV Market square. WV Market square then sent the car to a back door mechanic and gave it back to us, few days later the warning sign was back on the dash board and we reported this matter again, same thing happened only to realise after the fourth time taking the car in that it was never taken to the manufacturer to be fixed but was taken to other places that bypassed the fault and not fixing it hence the warning sign kept coming back. A month ago we then decided that it was too much and this needed to stop we called the sales rep again he came and took the car and made promised that it would be fixed for good this time, but no that was all lies as he brought the car back, three days late the warning sign was back, He then advised us that we need to take the car to BMW and pay for it to be assessed, that it when we knew there was something fishy, the lady at BMW PE (Nwabisa) told us that the dealer knew what the problems were with the car and that they sold us a car that already had the fault and now were trying to get the warranty people to pay for it. We refused to pay for the car to be assessed, and told the dealer what BMW had said and we forwarded the findings again to them, the total cost of the damages were R53000 the warranty agreed to pay R10000 as the fault was there before the car was sold to us. It became a mess as VW market square Uitenhage did not want to take responsibility of the matter and did not care of the inconvenience they were causing us as we were paying for a car that was sitting at BMW awaiting authorisation to be fixed. We went to see the manager at VW market square he was not aware of this and we had to update him and give him all the reports we got from BMW as the sales person was not updating the manager and kept lying to us about the progress of the vehicle, We then on the 25/10/2016 called the sales person again he did not answer nor rep**** to our email, we drove to VW market square to see the manager again as he also promised to call us but did not, when my father ,Mr Thomas got there to see the manager he was treated like an idiot and was told that he could get a courtesy car instead , he refused and told the manager that the car had given problems from day one and it spent most of the time with the dealer and BMW than with us, and that we needed this matter solved, the manager rep**** with such arrogance and did not want to assist Mr Thomas and said they will take the car from BMW and send it to one of their mechanics to fix it , Mr Thomas even asked the manager ,” is it a colour thing that he is getting such poor service from them and that he must constantly had to run after them to get this sorted “, the manager again showed no respect nor the willingness to deliver good customer service even the sales person said he can only authorise so much. This has been a pain to us and has caused so much inconvenience as we are paying for a car that we do not even have. Please assist us with this matter. Thomas Family
