Safety concern with Barons N1 city workmanship

I am so disappointed in the workmanship that was delivered by Barons N1 city. I booked my car in to replace the brake discs and pads. When I returned to collect my car- the pads were replaced but not the discs. They replaced the pads on worn discs. The manager Russel Robertson made excuse after excuse. I have a maintenance plan and I pay for this service. Not to mention the safety aspect- you cannot replace brake pads and fit it on worn discs. I am not happy with the service, and workmanship. I have been taking my car there for 7 years ( a paying customer ) and never before since this manager has been there that such service is received. I have lost trust and have no credibility.

Good day
I sent a copy of the complaint to Barons N1 City. Andrew contacted my husband while I was in the car and I spoke to him. He kept referring to Volkswagen South Africa,,, After back and forth- he advised he would get Nicole to contact us to book the car for a 2nd opinion and get an independent inspector/evaluator to have a look at the car. He also advised he would give us a courtesy car while the car is being inspected. ( I don't know how independent this individual will be since it is someone from within their organisation.)

1. Policy and process is a guide - Barons N! city has to use logic when fixing your car and cannot dodge accountability by referring to VW South Africa repeatedly.
Volkswagen SA is an organisation, not a person. Put us in contact with someone at Volkswagen SA to speak to.
2. Baron N1 city can use their discretion and apply reason to determine whether decisions must be made.
3. We are not looking for favours - just fair customer service and proper workmanship.
4. They should have done their due diligence and at least phoned my husband to explain what work is going to be done.

So we will wait for the phone call/email to advise when we need to bring our car in for evaluation.

Good day

Update : Barons N! City.

We are happy to report that we were contacted by Andrea who arranged for our car to be booked in for re-assessment. We were accommodated with a courtesy car and were able to commute home and to work with no hassle. (Monday and Tuesday)

On Tuesday afternoon we received a call from Andrew who gave us the good news that after their meeting and deliberations, the brake discs were replaced. All costs covered.

We received our car back - thanks for the service and getting back a clean car. We are now happy customers.

Thank you to all parties involved for listening to your customer i.e Andrea Breda who facilitated everything, Andrew, and Debbie at Barons N1 City. And thanks to Zintle - who made sure that our concerns reached the right people.
