Had a terrible experience purchasing a used VW Polo from this dealership. I bought the car sight unseen and flew up to collect it. I was meant to leave Margate immediately but ended having to book accommodation for a week while they sorted out the numerous issues with the car. Many of them were so simple and so easily remedied, but they clearly took absolutely no care in preparing this car. My car came with:

3 buckled and scratched alloy wheels a pitted and scratched windscreen a broken backboard that was repaired with wood *****s and a small plank of wood a mud-stained interior a heavily scratched and scuffed interior trim and cubbyhole especially (this car looks like it was used to load equipment of some kind) a the incorrect spec tyres for the vehicle worn suspension bushings broken shock mounts alignment and balancing was out a failing/whining waterpump

The last issue is my main concern as its expensive to repair, my quote is around R10,000 from Barons. VW Margate has flat out refused to cover ANY of the costs involved, even though I raised this complaint on the day of purchase, and that part was in fact due for inspection and possible replacement 5000km before I bought the car.

From the first minutes of dealing with this business it has been a nightmare, even inititally, enquiring about the vehicle I struggled and had to change salespeople just to try and purchase the thing. The Dealer Principle Tiffany Middleton is so profit driven that her ethics have taken a back seat. She has not even responded to my email. So digusted. Learn from my mistake and rather go to Port Shepstone VW.
