Release of Private Information to Third Party

VWFS released my personal and account information to Hollard insurance, without my permission, then alleged that it was because I refused to provide proof of insurance, when in fact I had.

Hollard employees have confirmed that the info was handed over because VW have a campaign to get policies for Hollard, without knowledge of customers. The customer accounts will be debited without their knowledge in the event that they don't confirm insurance, even if insurance is in place.

Wesbank legal sent a letter attempting to keep me quite, stating misrepresented facts, acts and clauses from the POPI Act. The fact remains they have handed my personal information to a third party, who then without any standing in the agreements demanded my insurance particulars which are held with a competitor to Hollard.
