Problem with Engin light -

<p>My car has been in 5 times for the same problem (engin light that flashes)and guess what ? yesterday the engin light started to flash again.</p> <p>In November while visiting Upington, Nothren Cape, the engin light of my vw Polo 1.4 GTi came on, we phoned vw sa and got assisted with a courtesy car as well as a tow truck for the car.</p> <p>We got the car back the next week, two days after that, the light came on again - with a loss of power and the car started jerking. the car was towed to vw Postmasburg and we got it back the next Thurday. That Friday we drove to Bloemfontein, 20km before Bloemfontein, the car lost power and started jerking again - engin light flashed also.We took it to lindsay Saiker Bloemfontein. Got it back the Saturday afternoon. Drove to Welkom, Freestate on the Sunday and from there back to NC via Vryburg. 5km before Vryburg the car gave the exact same problem, it was towed to vw Lightenburg and we had to get our own transport home because vw "could not find a car rental company closeby".</p> <p>We got the car back on 30 December 2016. Yesterday the same ****ing story.</p> <p>Problem is, according to vw the car has been in for different problems, but I can asure you that we phoned with the same complaint everytime. Apparently they can only fix what the VASS diagnostic machine says is broken. </p> <p> </p> <p>I'm so gatvol having to go get the car at my own expense every time, when they never actually fix the problem. The one guy even admitted that they don't know what's wrong with the car because vw technology is too advanced for sa technicians. ***??? Why can't they train their people proberly ?</p> <p> </p> <p>I have spoken to many collegues and mechanics, they all say that the cathalitic converted needs to be installed/replaced. But the VAS diagnostic machine does not detect this so the keep fixing the misfire caused because the gasses have no place to be released. </p> <p> </p>
