Poor Service Brits Volkwagen
<p>I had my golf 5 gti towed in to brits vw it had a message on the screen saying "low oil pressure" after a week being at vw brits they confirmed the enjine was full of sludge that caused the low oil pressure. The drained the old oil and cleaned the sump and added new hellix oil although there was castrol oil in the car i asked them did they flush the engine and i was informed by the workshop manager that volkswagen does not approve enjine flush.</p> <p> </p> <p>My question is then how do you get all the sludge out of the engine and i was told the sludge is just in the sump where i disagree again the sludge is all over inside the enjine. They alos did not replave the oil filter when they drsined the castrol oil and replaced it with hellix oil.</p> <p> </p> <p>I collected my car and drove it for 4 days to my supprise i got the same message "low oil pressure" the car then made loud back fire and the enjine stop turning.</p> <p> </p> <p>I had it towed back to volkswagen brits so they can check what went wrong.</p> <p> </p> <p>I was tolded the cam chain broke and that caused the valves to brake due to aftermarket software being done by k&n thats according to the work shop manager.</p> <p> </p> <p>Once again i disagree with his findings as i spoke to k&n and they asured me the software can not cause the cam chain to snap as they have been supplying these kits for golf gti's more than 10 years and never had they heard of this ubsurd story.</p> <p> </p> <p>I did some investigation nd spoke to various volkswagen workshop manager across south africa and have proof as all my phone calls was recorded and their findings is that the first time the message came up low oil pressure vw should have replaced the oil pump as now wat happened is the oil pump failed and caused the cam chain tentioner pully to seize up and caused the chain to brake.</p> <p> </p> <p>I feel that vw must be accountable for my damages suffered as they did not do what they were suppose to and are now beating around the bush and looking for excuses not to pay.</p>
