Poor leather quality on Amarok

My VW BiTDI 4Motion Highline DC is a 2016 model. I bought it new. It has 30 000 km on the clock now and I am the only driver using it to commute to work and back. At around 25 000 km (Sep/Oct 2016) I noticed the leather on the driver seat, the piping (seems), are rubbing off. I had a VW dealership inspect it (waited for the 30 000 km to come up) and in their opinion it is normal wear and tear. The matter was escalated to VW SA. While I agree and understand normal wear and tear, I cannot agree that it took place within 9 months since it was bought. When the vehicle is 2-3 years old, I will concede, but not a vehicle that is 9 months old at that time. This is my 5th VW product (Polo & Golf's prior to the Amarok & 1 x Audi A4 as well) and I have never witnessed this before. I also owned Isuzu and this has never happened. My colleagues and friends owns Toyota, Isuzu and Ford and this is not witnessed on their vehicles (all vehicles older than my Amarok). Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore this vehicle, but I cannot help but feel very disappointed and let down in the product itself, VW's negative decision and the manner in which they treated me as a customer.
