Pathetic Service at VW The Glen
Pathetic Service I bought a brand new VW Polo earlier this year from VW The Glen. I took it for its 15000km service on 12 October. After the service, I realised that the car is pulling to the left. They said, I must bring the car back - I stay in Klerksdorp - 180km away. On the first attemp, they test drive it and said I must bring it back for a day. I did the wheel alignment- nothing wrong. Second attempt, I brought it back. They tested the whole day and when I came back to collect - they said I must take it for wheel alignment. Take it to TWT for two hours - no luck. They said I must bring it back for longer. Third attemp - 2 weeks with them. Wheel alignment over and over. After two weeks they said it is now fine - We take it for a test drive on the N12 - in the right hand lane af 130, I take my hands of the steering wheel and within a second we in 4 lanes to the left. I planned to drive down to PE the next day - told them weeks before to have either my car ready, or another with auto gearbox. Nothing was arranged. I told them that as they are in-competend, I can drive the car to Uitenhage and leave it there. Brandon said he will arrange everything. Long story short, he did not arrange anything and I sat there with a red face. VWSA refused to help me saying it is a dealer issue. Bridget arranged that I can take the car to VW Tavcor in George. They managed to discover the issue within 15 minutes and fixed it the same day. The left front wheel was in front of the right one. I cannot believe that one dealership can be so much better than the other. I felt like a King compared to a nuisance at the Glen. Their whole service problems starts at their Dealer Principal. He said he will assit but never came back to me. He ignored my cries for help blank. They refused a loan or rental vehicle while at George. They refuse to compensate for my tyres that is now worn - pathetic pathetic pathetic. Never ever will they see me again.
