Pathetic customer service

I recently bought a vehicle from a third party dealer. the radio constantly displays safe mode 1000. I contacted two different volkswagen centres. both responded by stating that i need to bring the vehicle and book it in . there will be a cost of about R450 to R500 to retrieve the radio code. what nonsense is this. i must pay around R500 to get the radio working. when i paid a large some of money to purchase this vehicle. then the lady from customer car insists that she requires my details and the vehicles details to try and sell me other products which they offer. ridiculous and totally unprofessional of VW indeed
