NO UPDATES ON BREAKDOWN REPAIRS
I drove my car into the above dealership on 2 January 2018 and booked it in as a breakdown after it switched into safe mode (glow plugs light and Diesel Particulate filter light were on). The Service Advisor explained to me that I will be responded to in 48hrs max starting on the 3rd January 2018.
I was fortunate to receive a verbal quotation before end of business on the 2nd and subsequently receiving a formal quotation of R 28,672.06 inclusive of the timing kit change as I requested on the 4th January 2018.
From Monday the 8th, I have been trying to access the Sevice Advisor without success. On Wednesday day after failing to reach her, I requested to speak to the Service Manager who informed me to my relief that the car is finished and gone for a test drive.
Later in the day, the Service Provider called confirming my car was ready and that she will send the invoice on Thursday by 8h00 in the morning. I only received the invoice to a total amount of R 31 866.47 (the difference was never communicated to me) at 10h09. The invoice was settled at 11h15, and the proof of payment was forwarded to the Service Advisor at 11h32.
I cannot get my vehicle which was finished on Wednesday, 10th January 2018, and the invoice forwarded a day later, with the proof of payment available because it does not reflect in the bank yet. With all the inconveniences endured and already upsetting my Employer with not being able to attend to my job responsibilities!
VW customer care has once again proven useless in resolving the matter, referring me back to the same Dealer Principal whom I am agrieved with.
Who still wants to buy the expensive German Machines with no regard for customers when the Koreans can do a much better job in taking care of their clients. Nokia did the same, Samsung took over!
