No Transparency In Work Ethics
Went on Saturday to the Bidvest McCarthy VW dealership in Umhlanga Rocks and dealt with a salesman called "Ash" regarding the purchase of a new Polo. I provided him with written proof of the trade-in quote on my vehicle from another VW dealership. Ash said there should not be a problem matching it. He printed a quotation of the total cost price which I accepted (in front of a witness). I was told that I would receive a call on Monday, 30/04, to sign the documentation.Still waiting...I phoned and was told that he is waiting for his manager to improved. Eventually I was contacted this afternoon but with a totally different price. The agreed deal (which I have in writing) was now R 30 000 higher.I contacted VW Customer Care who gave me the usual I'm so sorry for your experience (with no empathy) followed by we are only the manufacturer and don't have jurisdiction over the franchises. What ****. They are selling your brand and your actions are confirming and approving their immoral work ethics.Cars are not selling so they will not make target which means that the franchise can be taken away.I want the original deal.A copy of my complaint has been sent to VW Germany and the National Consumer Council.I was misinformed at the point of sale and not everything was disclosed.Totally against the CPA.
