No assistance with a factory issue

<p>After writing the below issue to VWSA they came back to me with the same answer I recieved from VW Strydom Park. So does this mean that when you buy a brand new car and it has a defect no one will help you. I explained that this is a factory fault and I cannot pay to get it fixed, VW still wants me to pay up to R30000 to get my sunroof fixed. </p> <p> </p> <p>So this is how you treat your loyal customers ? The problem is that they dont need to strip the sunroof because the defect is on the outside which is visable, not sure why they want to strip a sunroof when they can see it has pealed on the outside.</p> <p> </p> <p>So this means that we should keep a car we bough brand new and have this ugly defect of it because VW found a way out of repairing it.</p> <p> </p> <p>This is so dissapointing to know that we are supporting a brand that does not care about their customers and rather look at making money for a fault from thier factory ?</p> <p> </p> <p>Loosing faith in this brand and plan to move away from it. We have the car from brand new and the service has been great so far despite a few issues with the gear box which was sorted out at VW Strydom Park. We still have the car and plan to keep it .</p> <p> </p> <p>The car is very well taken care of, it’s serviced on time, washed and kept clean all the time, during the day it’s parked under cover and at night in our garage. Our problem is with the sunroof, it’s started to peel and looks very bad , I took the car to Strydom VW today and spoke to Andre, he service was excellent as usual and he called me back within a few hours to give me feedback about the sunroof.</p> <p> </p> <p>He advised that the car is out of warranty since June this year and it would cost up to R30000 to fix it. My problem is that we have the car from brand new and we have been taking care of the car however the sunroof started to peel. This is so heart sore to know that we purchased a brand new car from VW to know that just after warranty there is a defect. We have been driving VW’s and our family’s drive VW’s , it’s a brand we really love but really disappointed with this issue.</p> <p> </p> <p>I don’t see why we should pay so much to fix a defect that’s from VW or whoever the manufacture is. I hope we can resolve this issue with remaining happy VW clients. Please can someone from VW help us with this issue. VW should be able to fix this defect.</p> <p> </p> <p>I look forward to your response.</p>
