I had such a bad experience with VW Soweto. I sent in my car for a service and my License disk went missing.
I sent in my car for a service and when I got home I realised the car disk was missing . First when I went in to let them know they advised that the car came in without a disk and the their Surveillance cameras were not work. After about an hour ago they called back to say someone saw the car disk fall in between the dash board and the windscreen.(and didnt bother to tell me. They let me drive the car knowing I was at risk)
This is alarming with the crime rate on ****** VW cars especially Polos that a disk could just go missing at a dealership.
To me this seems as if this disk was purposely taken out to simply clone it.
The manager Shawn simply said to me he will replace it, did not show any compassion or customer service and my concerned seemed patty to him.
The Disk was renewed in August 2020 which means I would have to only renew in 2021 in July. Upon attempting to reprint I was told I have traffic fines amounting to R1240.I would have only heard and paid these fines next year when I go renew the disk. Now I am sitting with financial stress and car that doesn't have a licences disk due to their negligence.
I am also not comfortable driving my car now because if indeed the car identify is ****** and my car is cloned. I'll have to take fall for any ******** activities and traffic fines.
To them its small and doesn't mean anything but to me its a big thing.
I just want my car disk and a proper investigation to be done.
I honestly wouldnt recommend anyone to take their car to VW Soweto especially if you are a woman and as long as Shawn is still the manager there.
Really wish I had taken my car to VW Rivonia like I always do but thought let me give the Soweto branch a chance despite all the bad reviews . I really regret it!
