Misdiagnosing of my Vehicle
I had brought in my car last year for service and asked that they also look at the clutch as it keeps on collapsing when I press on it and I was told that the clutch only needed to be done clutch bleeding on it, which after a week it started again and when I called I was told that I have to tow the car in and I couldn't at that time but sort to find someone who is also a technician and owns workshop to look at it and he advised that the problem is the concentric slave.
and then on the 1st July I brought the car again in for service and asked the consultant to look at the clutch since the bleeding did not help and told her about the Slave Cylinder and also specifically informed her that the master cylinder is not the problem, and that they should please try and look at the slave cylinder, she in turn came back to me and told that they had diagnosed the car the the master cylinder is faulty and I was charged R7416 which I paid on Thursday upon completion of it I was told to come collect the car as it was done, and on my way back home I got stuck with the same problem, and only after they want to then look at slave cylinder,
They always resorted to taking short cuts in fixing the car and when I asked for the diagnose report from the machine they used to diagnose it or put under a machine and was told that the technician just decided to diagnose it from the top of his head, and why couldn't the car be diagnosed in a proper way by machines to detect the real problem or cause for the clutch
and now at whose expense is the car supposed to be now stripped and checked the slave cylinder because as it is I had a part that was replaced that wasn't a problem and which I also advised and requested the consultant to note down what the problem is.
Now after all those monies that I had paid to get the wrong part and replaced should just be considered as money that just gone down the drain after I had advised the consultant of the real problem in the car and am I expected to also pop out more money for a service that I never received and a problem that was never resolved in my car
I tried calling the dealer Principal and was advised that he is not in from Friday afternoon till on Monday and I don't have answers and solutions to my dilemma instead they kept on sending the consultant to call me
Only when I wrote the second email voicing my concern that no one is attending to my complaint the DP emailed back to let me know that the Service manager will contact me, instead he sent an email to me telling to forward my compliant to Ombudsman
