Master Cars sold Car with Engine problems

18 months ago I bought a car at VW Cape City (which closed down). The reason for choosing a MasterCars certified dealer was to have piece of mind and are reassured that you buy a trustworthy vehicle. When we got the car we could hear a slight knocking sound but they(first said that there is something wrong with the aircon) and said that this is something they could resolve. After "fixing the problem” the car made the same noise after 4 months of purchasing the vehicle. We took it back to VW Cape City where they diagnosed that the engine had major problems and that they need to replace the pistons, lifters, rollers etc.

Now 14 months only 15.000 KM later, after this repair, the car is diagnosed by Barons Bellville with the same major engine problems.

MasterCars is not assisting or coming to the party and washing their hands in the fact the VW Cape City is closed .

VW also told me that you can expect this type of problems occuring on a 6 year old car.
