Level of service pure disgust!!!!
My car was booked in on the 15th may 2018 for the 150km service. After not receiving a call from vw the entire day we decided to call them at around 3.20pm. They then called us back at 3.50 informing us the car was only going in at that time. I got another call shortly after and they informed us of several things which needed fixing. Out of everything they told us to fix we were only aware of the aircon and back light which was faulty. We DID NOT have any issues with driving with unusual noises etc. 1 of the issues they brought up was the disks and pads. Yes this is normal wear and tear but keep in mind we did NOT even have a little bit of a noise on the disks or pads. We are aware of the sound of such an issue as we replaced both disks and pads last year. Not via vw but original parts were used. There was no way we could leave the car with u as we did not make arrangements and also we did not expect our car to only be seen to after 4pm. My hubby left with our vehicle after close of ur business not giving us any time to return to you. The car immediately started making noise. This morning we drove to work and the sound was exceptionally loud and it only became worst by the time we returned from work today. Hubby spoke to the manager james who only returned his call after lunch wen he called at 8 the morning already. James immediately went into defence mode telling him that he can assure us that his staff did not tamper with anything on the vehicle and that this just happened to be a coincidence that the cars disks and pads gave in at that moment. Quite frankly I feel he is a **** and somebody at vw should know what really happened. The vehicle cannot go from being perfectly fine to almost landing us in a accident. We took the car back to our mechanic who checked the disks and pads today and he did not allow us to leave without having the disks and pads fixed. If we have not had a single issue how did this suddenly happen. Why does my mechanic tell me that there is no way possible that this could have happened in such a short period of time. I am extremely disgusted and dissapointed by the level of service I have received and I am highly convinced that somebody did Indeed tamper with the disks and pads therefore we had such a terrible arrogant and defensive response. It is highly unlikely that this is just a coincidence. And the pure arrogance from management is disgusting. Why did vw not tell us how very bad the situation was and that it needed urgent change. How is it possible that the vehicle went from driving 100% to sounding as if the engine was about to fall right out. I expect this service from a backdoor mechanic who has no idea what he is doing or couldnt care less. My pure digust would never make me want to recommend vw claremont to anybody infact this is something everybody should be aware of. I do not want to speak to the manager again and expect this to reach the highest management level at your branch. We are all employees and bad customer service should be taken up immediately.
