Lack of Value Add

On the 21st December 2015 I took my VW Polo Vivo for a routine 90 0000km service to VW The Glen. I requested that they replace the clutch (there was a cranking sound when changing gears), brakes (were squeaking) and shocks (were making an unusual sound when at bumpy or surfaces with different levels/heights).
I was told that the clutch was still fine and had nothing to worry about. I was told that the brakes were still within the minimum thickness. I was further told that the shocks were not replaced because they had to be ordered from Kimberley. Mind you, I requested these changes when making an appointment to book the car in for service.
The service was disgusting. Impatient staff, not carrying all services requested by the client.
Fast forward 3 months later the clutch died out on me in the middle of nowhere while I was travelling from Johannesburg to Rustenburg. The damage could have affected other parts like the gearbox and engine.
This could have easily been avoided had my request been fulfilled.
