Lack of Service and Resolution from VW SA

<p>To whom it may concern;</p> <p>We have a VW Polo GT 3door 2014 model which has been vandalised by protestors during a strike action in March 2016.</p> <p>The vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed in by Probeat Panelbeaters in Pretoria.</p> <p>Authorization for the repairs was sent through by our insurance after authorization was given by SASRIA for the repairs to this vehicle on 20 April 2016.</p> <p>Probeat has since tried ordering the needed parts from Lindsay Saker Midrand who communicated to them on 20 May 2016 that the parts were no longer available and no manufacturer was willing to manufacture the parts for them.</p> <p>How can parts for a 2014 Polo GT 3door no longer be availble? This vehicle is only 2 years old and brand new. Parts for these kinds of vehicles should be available for much longer than 2 years.</p> <p>Probeat notified us as well as our insurance of this problem on the same day - 20 May 2016 and our insurance was of the same opinion as to the availability of new parts on new vehicles as they insure new parts.</p> <p>Quicksure notified Probeat that VW SA should be held responsible for the new parts and that refurbished parts would not be accepted.</p> <p>We have since been waiting for answers and Probeat had to go ahead and use one of their reputable outsourced trim repair companies to try and accommodate us.</p> <p>We find the lack of interest from VW SA to assist in this regard very frustrating. Quicksure was of the opinion that if the parts could not be manufactured in South Africa that they should be obtained overseas.
