just asking/ seeking help

Just a question. i was driving my car back from a certain destination, my vehicle started overheating and stopped, after a few minutes it cooled down then i decidd to drive it home on my way there it flashed a lot of system lights and didnt want to start. i towed it to VW wonderboom which they said they cannot claim it under warranty because it was not factory fault and said should they fix it im going to have to buy a new engine or speak to my insurance. at budget insurance they towed the car to their premises and assed it. the ttok forever to concluded whether they will help me or not. when they did conclude after 4weeks the said theres nothing they can do to help me. is there channels that i can take to get help or the responsibilty solely lies in me. car is still under warranty, premiums are on track at Budget insurance. please help
