Intentional misrepresentation of information

This has by far been the most appalling service I have ever received from Volkswagen. I went to the Lindsay Saker Edenvale dealership to offer my car for sale after I saw an advert on their website stating that they're buying cars. I was under the impression that dealing with a Volkswagen dealership would meet my highest expectations associated with their Volkswagen brand. I expected to receive professional service throughout the sale. This was far from the case from day 2 of the ordeal when the person who I initially made contact with went on leave and failed to state that he will not be around for a week when we initially spoke about the sale. This was the first sign of unprofessionalism which later on manifested into such disrespect and disregard from Lindsay Saker Edenvale. Over the first week of the engagement I managed to reach the initial salesperson from pre-owned as he had popped in to the dealership for a few hours. He advised that even though he is on leave he would be reachable via his cellular telephone. Over the next few days I called repeatedly and even sms'd him on his cell phone but he did not reply and that was the last I had heard of him. Eventually I was put in contact with another gentleman from the pre-owned section who advised me on what documents I needed to provide before we can proceed. Within a day I provided him with the necessary documents and 3 days later he took possession of my vehicle. My sale was then handed onto another gentleman within the pre-owned division of Lindsay Saker Edenvale. It was with this gentleman that I was subjected to intentional misinformation and falsifying of the facts. I never once received any feedback from him and constantly had to follow up with him almost on a daily basis to find out how far my payment for my sale was. I wasted my airtime calling and calling even though he constantly reassured me that everything was still on track and that he would get back to me on the progress. It was with this gentleman that I was told that in order for the sale to be finalised certain people, who I only later found out had already gone on leave, would need to sign certain documents. Lindsay Saker Edenvale surely must have been aware from the start that without the signatures the sale could not proceed however they deliberately withheld this information from me for at least 2 weeks until I demanded to speak to the lady who would be responsible for my sale. When engaging with the lady I was met with very little respect and an extremely blase attitude which was not unapologetic in nature. Had I been informed from the start that individuals necessary for the sale to be finalised are on leave and will only return in January 2018 I would have not proceeded with engaging with Lindsay Saker Edenvale for the sale. The fact that the branch should have been fully aware that those individuals would be on leave and therefore payment would be delayed should be fully disclosed to customers wishing to sell their vehicles however this was deliberately withheld. This level of unprofessionalism and disdain for customers is completely unacceptable and I will most certainly NEVER do any form of business with Lindsay Saker Edenvale ever again
