Horrible Service from the VW Soweto

I was sold a new car with R-line Stick-On’s that are still sticking out and even after the second attempt to fix them. but here is where my big issue is.

It was also brought to my attention that the car was dented at the dealership as they were working on it to fix the R-Line Stick On that are still sticking out.

Now what infuriates me the most this time and sending my high blood pressure to skyrocket is how your senior dealer Mr Mdaka during the meeting I had with him the 28/03/2023.

He saw it fit that I deserve a refurbished car that’s supposed to be new at the expense of my own pocket that will be debited into my account and not his, on a monthly basis.

Mr Mdaka had the audacity to unashamedly tell me that he will take what’s supposed to be a “new car” and repaint the dented area because in is words and I quote ”the dent is not as bad as it looks and I must understand since the dent is not even that bad of a size”.

Sadly I’m the owner of the car and should be given the opportunity to decide what would work for me but he wasn’t even courteous enough to understand things from my point of view, but saw it fit for me to be understanding enough to allow him to paint a “new car” that’s not so new anymore as it has already been fiddled with.

Oh and guess what he kept on insisting that I should understand cause if roles were reversed he would “understand” yet again the instalment will be out of my pocket and we don’t even wear the same shoe size to fit enough into one another’s problems!

I found that statement to be very demeaning actually, how do you tell a client to “understand” when they will use their hard earned money to pay for a service that you provided to them as though you don’t car?

“Understanding” shouldn’t be a word that comes out of a senior who is dedicated to fix a situation and have juniors that look up to him, that’s absurd, especially for an entire senior staff.

I’d also like to point out that; when a person decides to come to the dealership to purchase a vehicle, it’s simply because they fell in love with the car or maybe that is what they can afford.

This doesn’t make us poor, or by any means make us inadequate, it is about affordability or love for that specific vehicle.

Treatment given to customers is very important for future rapport but sadly your senior salesman Mr Mdaka was incapable of giving that to me and it’s quite shamefully unfair to me and my heart is filled with disappointment and disgust.

And asking a customer to “understand” without him given me any source of comfort you’d swear he was waiting on that meeting or error to take place so he can show me who’s boss and I must say he sure did I’ll give him that.

Now it make sense when they say white people will forever give the best service cause they value the relationship with the customer more m, as opposed to our very own brother/sister that disregard our feelings as a paying customer. It is quite disturbing to be still be experiencing such harsh treatment from our very own in 2023.

Not sure if he treats every customer the same or was it just me that he has a grudge with, as I notice he still brought up the issue of the hole on the left side of the door during our meeting, yet having driven two VW cars before this one I’m querying about, one bought from your dealer and the first one bought in a different dealer, it was my first time with this current Taigo to actually experience an entire hole in a car. But Mr Mdaka took it upon himself to point out that all your car in actuality do come with home and it’s a norm. Furthermore I’d like to let it know that I will not be bringing the car to be painted on the dented spot and will be not taking on this matter further. I don’t want him to give an further instruction as I don’t have faith in him given my encounter with him and his incompetence as a senior I’m that dealership.

I’d like to keep this chapter close as I want nothing to do with VW Soweto, either than the continuous car service visits since I don’t have much of a choice as far as that part is concerned.

To conclude, I will not be moving forward with this matter and will like to let it rest and keep it move, I’ve been disappointed enough by Mr Mdaka and VW Soweto. What a horrific experience and service that I received it’s actually disgusting to say the least. Him and his team failed me dismally to a point where if there was a minus zero rating, I’d definitely put it up on a billboard for everyone to see how *********** that dealership is.
