HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - NO SPARES FOR 2024 VW POLO VIVO 1,6 TIP

My 2024 VW Polo Vivo 1,6 TIP was involved in an attempted theft on the 9th March 2024. The vehicle was recovered in my complex a few meters away from my home (thankfully). Upon inspection of the vehicle, we noticed that the vehicle ECU and media player was ******, the ignition was also destroyed in the attempted theft. Upon calling my insurance company, the vehicle was towed to SMD , then VDS Autobody and later to MC VW Westgate. Having a vehicle ****** or broken into is a massive inconvenience to anyone. To add further distress, I was advised by both VDS autobody and VW Westgate that the vehicle ECU is not available or loaded on the system. I was told today that the part will be loaded on the system hopefully today and an order can be placed. This is on the backdrop of me waiting 2 months already. Further to this, i was advised by VDS autobody that the ECU will be placed onto a backorder with no estimate or timelines for delivery. A popular vehicle like a VW Polo Vivo which is produced locally and flooded on the SA roads simply do not have the luxury of not stocking parts for the vehicle. It is utterly unacceptable and an embarrassment to VW brand to make a client wait 2 months for a part. In the interim, I will still need to honor my vehicle finance repayments for a vehicle I do not have. My question to VW SA - why sell a vehicle that you do not have parts for? Clients are getting the short end of the stick here, right? Are clients aware that if 'God forbid' their ECU is ****** like mine, they are likely to go months on end their vehicle? This is totally unacceptable. VW Polo Vivo sales should be halted until replacement parts are available in order to prevent current and potential clients from going through the horrible experience I am going through. F.Y.I - this is not my first or only VW vehicle. I have been a loyal client for the past 10 years who always picked VW over any other brand. How does VW sell a vehicle without loading spares onto the system? I have been in contact with Ulani at VW SA, and apparently there is no direct contact for senior management or the parts dept. Courtesy vehicles are not even loaned to clients even when incompetence originates from them. Seems a little too convenient for VW to shy away from accountability. Needless to say I will refrain from VW products in future. In addition, I will share my story with others so that they also stay away from this deeply rooted incompetence from VW.
