Frustration
I am extremely frustrated at how VW has handled my car service and I am starting to have regrets about purchasing the car.
I took the car in to the VW in Braamfontein yesterday and I was told that the car needs new brake pads and that I would have to pay, I was very confused because the day I left the dealership with the car I was told that it is under maintenance plan.
I than called the customer centre where the lady I spoke to explained that there are maintenance plans offered on behalf of third parties which could be the reason why she cannot pick it up on the system on her side.
I therefore went onto my emails and found that the plan is with TRAFFIC and not VW, so my issue is…why is it that VW offers products on behalf of third parties but does not keep record of their information.
As a client it is my responsibility to always run around and tell the dealer which company the plan is with? Why is it that you feel the need to offer products of third parties but once the deal that went through it is now my issue to tell the dealership about the maintenance plan.
I am extremely frustrated as if I was not literate I would have probably been milked dry because I would be unaware of the policy covering that.
Now the basic service was done to my car and I was compelled to return the car today in order for them to replace brake pads as they only obtained the information regarding the maintenance plan after I told them I am not paying a cent, at the end of the day I am inconvenienced because someone failed to do their job to the fullest and all this nonsense is costing me money.
Another issue is that my car was not washed to my satisfaction and I am not about to look at a windscreen that has trails of water, I am sure I pay enough for a decent car wash.
I hope to hear from someone soon.
