**********LY SOLD AVIS USED DAMAGED CAR AS DEMO

SUMMARY:<br> YEAR 2011, maynhardt* convinces me to buy demo instead of new car, explains the cars are driven by consultants, used for test drives & are sold @40 000 km's max on the clock, practically new. trusting him he found one. on pick up I quire why is has 45 000 km's, he says it went for road worthy tests. doubtful but took the explanation, he says vw will call about his service, basically asking for a good score, I agreed, then oddly says I should say I test drove the car prior to purchase, long story short, I told the vw caller the truth (check recorded calls - never seen/drove it) 6 wks I return the car cause the bonnet paint was chipping off, he tells me to repaint, I asked why didn't they & why sell it retouched. Said there was nothing he could do<br> <br> SEPT 2015: MOZAMBIQUE BORDER POLICE IMPOUND CAR<br> FINDINGS: VIN PLATE NOT ORIGINAL! VIN WRITTEN BY HAND! DAMAGE TO CAR ENGINE FRAME I COULDNT EXPLAIN! (Mind you this car was only EVER serviced at VW HATFIELD, All those mechanics & I must believe no one knew or saw the DAMAGE & ***** VIN/PLATE?!<br> <br> Thanks to police investigating, it was found the car was bought from AVIS!<br> borrowed a courtesy car but THEY refuse to REFUND EXPENSE
