FAULTY VEHICLE|NONE ROADWORTHY VEHICLE SOLD|BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE
To Whom it may concern
I Farieda Alexander traded my Ford Figo for a Vw Polo Vivo 1.4 Trend white in color which I don’t even have for longer than 2 months and there are so many issues with this vehicle, after being told by Vincent Webb (sales person) that he drove the car for a while and he never had any issues with the vehicle and that should we book the vehicle in they don’t provide borrowed cars, he also advise me that this problem is not his and the garage/workshop needs to deal with this problem,(after doing the deal with him, how isn’t it his problem!) after all the back and forth emails and escalation to management as attached, Vincent finally arranged for a driver to pick my vehicle up on the 24th April, got told that his driver is out and won’t make it to collect the car but I received a message from VW on the 24/04/2018 stating my vehicle is booked in for the 25th April, I then contacted him on the 25th April at 12pm to follow up on when the driver will be collecting the car, he then said his driver will be on his way and finally the driver collected the car around 2pm and gave us the borrowed car. I then received a call from VW Glen the morning of the 26th April, stating that my appointment was for the 25th April but my vehicle is not there! And nobody could tell me where the vehicle was, after a few calls not being answered by Vincent Webb, he finally called me back after 2 hours to say the car is there and they still busy working on the car. It then went on for two weeks without even giving me any feedback or updates I then had to constantly call them for feedback on the vehicle, I got hold of Johnathan Chetty (Service manager) and he said he will follow up with the technician and will let me know, a few hours later we received an email attached (Supposed be a fault report) stating that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle and we should come collect the vehicle. I then had to request to leave work early to collect the vehicle, went to the dealership and tested the car and found out that the same problems were still there so to my understanding my car has been there for two weeks and nothing was done. I had to take the technician with to test the vehicle and to make him aware of these faults and then he only agreed and picked up these faults, but the attached “supposed to be a report” says there no faults. Mind me saying even Francios Branders and Vincent Webb advised me that they both tested the car and there was no problem.
I was then told to give them more time and the vehicle will be delivered to my work the following day Thursday 3rd May and will be test driven with me. Thursday came and went nobody gave me an update and as usual I had to run after them for feedback and was told by Johnathan Chetty that they still busy with the vehicle and will update us again the Friday 4th May. At this point I realized I am being made a fool of and I as the customer just feel that this is very very bad service and very unprofessional service from the dealer as a whole. My experience with VW thus far was the most perthitic and uncouth experience and decided that I would rather like to cancel and not want to ever deal with them again. I had a Ford for four years and not once had I experienced such terrible service and bad quality of a vehicle SINCE NOW DEALING WITH VW!!!!!!!
Friday came and went, by 2pm I decided to request a half day from my manager at work to go to the dealer to sort this out. I then approached Francios and requested to cancel this deal as there are too many faults with this vehicle and VW has inconvenienced me enough. Francois then said he needs to check what the process will be and said he will go discuss with Paul Boyce(dealer Principal). They called my fiancé and I in Paul office and Paul requested that I go through everything with him again for him to understand, after all, communications included him, he advised me that he never received the email I then showed him the attached email where he was included and he was adamite and very rude stating that he never received it, with that being said he had no respect for me as the customer and raised his voice advising that they will not cancel the deal and we can go to the ombudsman to take it further. He then said he will investigate this and let us know, however, Francios was told by Paul to give the car back to us and take their borrowed car back and we should deal with the matter ourselves. Francios and Paul feel they have the right to disrespect me as their customer in front of their staff and customers at the dealer, Francios requested the technician to bring the car and give it to us. With not even test driving to see if the faults have been fixed which they were not even fixed. We then left the dealership and picked up that the faults were still there and added to it there were electrical issues.
I decided that I am taking this vehicle myself for roadworthy as to my knowledge this vehicle is in a bad state and as you will see the attached report shows the vehicle has FAILED roadworthy.
Now my question to VW, Westbank financial services and Mi Way insurance, is it right and legal for me to be paying for a vehicle that is not roadworthy and has so many problems and nevermind the bad customer service received from Sales person, Sales manager and Dealer principle, this is my money involved and as a customer I don’t not want this vehicle and I do not want to deal with VW The Glen anymore. I WANT THIS DEAL CANCELLED MY DESPOSIT TO BE REFUNDED……AND MY INSTALLEMENTS TO BE REFUNDED, TRACKER AND INSURANCE.
I WILL GO TO FORD AND PURCHASE A CAR WITH pleasant, likeable, agreeable, personable, charming, delightful, amiable, affable, friendly, kindly, genial, congenial, good-natured, engaging, gracious, sympathetic, understanding, compassionate, good SERVICE.
I am taking this further to SOCIAL MEDIA, HELLOPETER and exposing your company, our country deserves to know what they are getting themselves into at VW.
