False advertising

I recently bought a VW Tcross from Polokwane branch. When I was still looking, my aim was to get an SUV and having seen that the Tcross was advertised as a crossover, I opted for it. However, when the vw representative presented the car registration papers, I noticed that the car was registered as a hatchback. I enquired and was told that Tcross, Tiguan amongst others were registered as hatchback. I feel that what vw is doing is false advertising if that is the case. I could have opted for a polo if I knew that it is a hatchback.
