Exploded panoramic roof and no courtesy car

<p>On the 19.01.2017 while travelling from secunda to middelburg at 110kmph and both front windows open about 5cm as i was smoking in my 2015 golf 7 gti with 31700km, i suddenly hear a loud noise or explosion and felt little glass pieces fall on my hand, my 1st tought was i was being hi-jacked so i drove for a km then stopped, got off my car and noticed that the panoramic roof had exploded, it looked as if it was kicked from the inside of the car,it looked swollen and shattered, i took some photos and drove into middelburg town at 40kmph but on my way a truck passed me and the entire glass top flew off the car. i left the car at vw middelburg on thursday 19.01.2017 and on 20.01.2017 reported it to vw s.a</p> <p>i am a field technician so i require a car to work and i have been calling and visiting vw middelburg for a courtesy car but got no joy, my manager now has deducted my car allowence which will now affect my monthly installment, is vw willing to pay that while the car is parked there and tests are being done.</p> <p>vw middelburg sent the panoramic roof for testing and i am still waiting,</p> <p>From my knowlidge i know that the panoramic roof is made out of a much stronger glass compared to a normal glass on a car, and if it was caused by heat why didnt my front windscreen crack as it had a stone chip and my sunroof had no chip as in washed my car the day before and know exactly were i have stone chips scratches and dents, i have pictures off the sunroof when it exploded and when it flew off,</p> <p>it is now almost 2 weeks that i am left stranded and have no answer as to what is going on and left with no courtesy car</p> <p>i dont see it as good customer service while tests are being done by VW to a sunroof that is cracked with a big hole in it and i am not even provided with a car while they conduct tests on they time.</p> <p>i have also checked the net and there are a few other complaints regarding exploding sunroofs.what is the cause off this,</p> <p>can someone please assit</p> <p>Thank you</p> <p>Nirosh</p> <p> ********** 534</p>
