Experiencing since problems with brand new Polo TSI since 2018. I

Volkswagen it’s me again, you know my story since 2018. After the clutch replacement I am still experiencing problems with the vehicle.

I took my car for service on the 9th of December at Barons Bellville as I was planning on going home. I got a call from the service consultant informing me that they will keep my car overnight because it was leaking and they needed to purchase its replacement. On Friday I got a call to come and fetch the car at 14:00, only to get another call (close to the time I’m supposed to fetch the car) that the part they replaced was not the faulty one and that this part also needed to be ordered and replaced and again they needed approval from Avis whom I have a service plan and a maintenance plan with, and I was told to fetch the car on Tuesday.

On Tuesday I got the call from Barons Bellville informing me that I should fetch the car on Wednesday morning because they not finished with the repairs. I told them that I needed to get home in Eastern Cape, then they told me to fetch the car at 16:30. When I got there they were not done with the repairs, and I waited for nearly 2 hours.

Travelling to Eastern Cape I started experiencing problems with my gear and clutch. The clutch is too soft and I cannot change gears. I called the Service Manager at Barons Bellville informing him about the issue. He advised me to take the car to the closest VW dealership, I went to the NTT VW King Williams Town (I was not happy about going there because of the rude principal dealer). They told me that they will book my car for next week Thursday and I requested for a curtesy car and my request was denied and VW South Africa also could not assist. After fighting with VW South Africa over the phone I ended up settling for booking the car in for next week Thursday.

I went to the booking consultant so that I could book the car in for next week Thursday, the lady told me that the principal dealership told her that they should not take the car in for booking, I asked what was the reason for this and they said they’re only following the principal dealership’s orders.

I would advise anyone who plans on purchasing a vehicle from VW not to do the same mistake as I did. I have been fighting since 2018 for a brand new car, I was keen on buying a car from VW as I thought this was a high quality brand with excellent service.

I also feel like this is a race issue, I can tell by the undermining gestures I receive from the VW staff personnel. If I was a white person this issue would have been resolved years ago. VW take your car I am tired of fighting with you.

🚫DO NOT BUY VW😡😡
