Engine cover broken
I took in my car for service at VW fury northcliff. Car inpection was done and the car was booked in. Few hours later I then received a call from Denise(service advisor ) to discuss the quote with me, she advised of the service cost and additional damaged items to be replaced such as mirror cap EXCERPT the engine cover which they broke during service and just put in the boot of my car. I accepted the service quote . I was later contacted to collect the car. I sat with Denise , I paid the amount due and she never informed me of the broken engine cover or the job spec. When I got home and opened the boot I found a broken engine cover. I immediately called to ask about it and she responded that it might be a replaced part and I told her it's engine cover and she was not aware of it and she then advised me to come see her the next day to show the part. She called the technician who denied breaking the part.
My questions to her were : 1. Why was I not informed of the broken part when I collected the car .2. Why was it not included in the quotation for damaged items to repaired. 3. If she did read the job spec to me
as she claims why was she not aware of the engine cover in my boot.
