I bought the Polo Vivo at Barons Bruma on the 1st of November 2018. the spare wheel was flat when fetching the car at the dealer, I raised the issue with the sales person and she checked with workshop guys the sparewheel is fine it just needed to be pumped up. Even asked how is that I get 14“ spare wheel yet my car is 16“ and I was told that it normal.
On the 1st of December 2018 I heated a pothole on my from Newcastle to Johannesburg. I was 251km away from home (R34 Free State) I stop the to change the wheel only to find out that the spare wheel is flat too. Mind you the car is only one month and I have never used the spare. I called VW assist and their technician responded after 30min. I was in the middle of nowhere at the same time I was raining and getting darker. I could have been hijacked. The closed the town was Vrede which was 31km away from where i was therefore I had try and drive to vrede unfortunately the spare was ****ed up too I only drove 5km n it started smelling and I stopped the car. VW assist technician called n he come to pump the tyre, he doesn’t have a spare wheel to give me which was not gonna help me.
Fortunately I managed to stop 4 guys who was driving a polo who could have ****ed me and took my car, I begged for help. They gave me their spare wheel but wanted the assurance that I will return their spare wheel I had no choice but to give them my tyre with my mag rim otherwise I was gonna sleep on the road.
Now I can not get hold of the guy, if the I don’t get hold of the guy until the end of today that means I lost my tyre and mag rim.
If I was not given the old spare wheel with the patch I was not gonna tru this whole ****.
My time was waisted My life was in danger I had to drive at night as I got home at 10pm instead of 7pm.
I am so disgusted with VW, because of the spare wheel I even lost 3 ***** and nut cover caps and the hook to remove the caps.
