Disgusting client relations by Volks Wagen South Africa

We bought a VW polo 1.2 Tsi DSG and after only35 000km the selector switch on the DSG gearbox was faulty We had to pay R16 000 to have it repaired because VW said the vehicle was out of warranty (which is only 3 years with VW) This is ridiculous that a car that has only 35000km on the clock would have this problem (One would be accepting if it was 7 years old with 120 000km on the clock as fair wear and tear) Afterwards weve established its a common problem with the DSG box on the polo and the Golf 7. We sent a complaint to VW SA asking them for good will and they have come back to us saying they will not refund us as the vehicle is out of warranty. I informed them we have owned 12 VWs in our past and a fault on such a low mileage and relatively new car is unacceptable. They have declined to honour any good will in refunding us So I wish inform all on social media don't buy a VW they will hide behind the cars out of warranty when their product is of poor quality. Our two sons will soon be needing cars and guess what they wont be VWs that's a promise VW SA
